Canon EOS R5: 8K 4K 1080 24 30 60 and 120 fps | Footage Samples (Video Test)
As a wedding and portrait photographer, I recently had the opportunity to test the Canon EOS R5's video capabilities. In this blog post, I'll be sharing my experience shooting with the R5 and showcasing the different video settings available, including 8K, 4K, 1080, 24, 30, 60, and 120 fps.
In the YouTube video "Canon EOS R5: 8K 4K 1080 24 30 60 and 120 fps | Footage Samples (Video Test)," I shot footage of our gorgeous model, Juliana, in every video setting available on the R5. I wanted to give you a comprehensive look at how this camera performs in various video modes.
The video starts with me introducing myself and explaining what I'll be doing in the video. I then proceed to showcase the different video settings, including 8K raw, C-log 4K 60, 4K 120, 4K 30, 4K 24, and full HD. While I couldn't show every frame in detail, I wanted to provide enough footage so you can get a good idea of the R5's capabilities.
I was pleasantly surprised by the R5's performance, even in the heat. Despite shooting for 20 minutes in various video modes, I didn't experience any overheating issues. I used a 128 GB card, which I wasn't sure would be enough, but I was glad to see that it worked well.
Of course, the raw footage you see in the video is just the starting point. You can add your own LUTs or grading to enhance the final product. In the video, I showed the difference between raw footage and what was achieved with some grading.
In conclusion, the Canon EOS R5 is a versatile camera that can handle various video modes with ease. I hope that my video and this blog post have given you a good idea of what the R5 can do.
