How to setup EASY Outdoor and Indoor Photography Lighting WITHOUT FLASH

Continuous Lights

Welcome to Houston, Texas, where the freezing weather couldn't dampen our spirits. We were about to embark on an exciting adventure with some incredible lighting gear today. Thanks for joining me!

The Westcott l60b lights, equipped with bi-color capability and versatile modifiers, proved to be a game-changer for photographers seeking the perfect lighting setup.

One of my favorite features of continuous lighting is the ability to adjust the color temperature, allowing me to create warm or cool tones based on the desired mood. I particularly love the warm Golden Glow that can be achieved effortlessly.

Considering the miserable weather—rainy, cold, and downright awful—we made sure to set up everything in advance. Our models' well-being was a priority, so we minimized their exposure to the elements. Since jackets weren't part of the wardrobe, I decided to begin with a two-light setup for our model.

For the main light, I used a rapid box to cast a soft, cool-toned light on her face. To counteract the cold atmosphere, I placed another light behind her, using a Magnum reflector. Turning up the warmth on this light created a beautiful, warm glow in the background, adding dimension and countering the chill.

As we started shooting, the stunning results became apparent. Despite the unfavorable conditions, the lighting setup transformed the images into something magical. The models exuded grace and elegance, capturing a serious yet strikingly beautiful essence.

After the outdoor session, I ventured into the bridal suite at the remarkable Madera Estates in Houston. Immediately captivated by the space, I couldn't resist capturing some shots there. Grabbing one of the lights, I aimed it toward a wall with a reflective mirror, creating captivating patterns on both the subject's face and the background.

Experimenting with different positions, I played with the light hitting her directly or casting a softer glow when placed further away. The results were fantastic, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and the images conveyed a sense of grace and artistry.

Once the shoot was completed, I proceeded to edit my favorite images. Utilizing a combination of Lightroom and Luminar Neo, I fine-tuned the pictures to achieve the desired aesthetic. You can check out another video on my channel for a closer look at the editing process using Luminar Neo.

Shooting with continuous lighting was an absolute pleasure, and I encourage you to give it a try. The Westcott l60 lights, along with the accompanying Magnums and the rapid box, are lightweight and easy to handle. In fact, all three lights, along with the necessary adapters, fit comfortably in a single backpack. The added convenience of battery power ensures durability and flexibility, making them perfect for on-location shoots.

For an effortless setup and outstanding results, I highly recommend checking out the Westcott l60 lights. You can find them at the link provided in the description below. Give them a try and elevate your photography to new heights.

Thank you for joining me on this memorable photography journey. If you enjoyed this content, don't forget to like and subscribe. Until next time!
