Speed Wedding Posing Tutorial: How to POSE a Bride (FAST)
Hello everyone, I'm Vanessa Joy, a wedding and portrait photographer, and today I want to share with you a quick and effective technique I use to take stunning photos of a bride as fast as humanly possible.
As photographers, we all know that we never get enough time on any given day, but with the speed posing method, I can ensure that I capture all the essential photos that my clients expect in a matter of minutes. In this blog post, I'll be taking you through the process step by step, so you too can add speed posing to your photography skill set.
I started the timer, and the bride leaned on one leg while looking at me. I directed her to look down, look off to the side, and then lean forward. The idea behind speed posing is to get a variety of angles, expressions, and details in a short amount of time. I moved around the bride, taking various shots from different angles, and then asked her to walk towards me while holding onto her dress and looking in different directions.
Next, I asked her to turn and walk back to where she started, and then look back at me. I added a veil to the shot and had her look in different directions and smile for some more photos. After just 2 minutes and 28 seconds, I was done with the shoot and had captured a ton of images that really told a story.
I used Fundy software to create an album with the photos I took. I used the auto design feature to start and then rearranged the photos to create a variety of spreads. I made sure to zoom in on certain details and spread out the photos to ensure that they didn't look cluttered. I was able to create 14 pages, which is seven spreads, in just 2 minutes and 28 seconds.
The speed posing method is not just limited to brides, but I also use it with grooms, bridal parties, families, and more. With this technique, I am able to get a lot of images really fast, making my clients happy while still maintaining my speed and efficiency.
In conclusion, speed posing is a fantastic method that can help you take stunning photos in a short amount of time. It allows you to capture a variety of angles, expressions, and details that really tell a story. To see more of my work, you can visit speedposing.com or check out the link below.
